Happy Easter!

Here's to one giant family mish-mash out at Grandma's farm. Hope it's the first of many mish-mashes to come.

What can I say?

Hey! The first family Easter picture!

Two cousins and one happy Gigi

They have the same middle name, you know. I'm just sayin'.

The Big Spring Break Cache

Welcome back! We start with scattered cuteness and proceed directly to a spotty narrative. Enjoy!

Hey look! A cute baby!

And another cute baby!

And another cute baby!

And a cute baby with her mama!

And a cute baby, mama, and Mimi!

Her first sink bath.

Monday Rowan met all kinds of folks.

She met Cousin Katie.

...and her Aunt Angela.

She met Cousin Molly,

and she even got to sing with Papaw.

Wednesday we went to visit Los Cookston in San Francisco.

You know, where the bridge is?

We did some sittin' around,

...a lot of laying around,

...and even some hanging around.

Saturday we went to the Muir Woods across the bay.

Which is incidentally the shooting location for the Forest Moon of Endor. In fact, many of the original Ewoks still populate these well-maintained woods. Elusive, feral, and highly clever, these furry little freaks are very rarely spotted. Didn't stop us from trying.

We walked all over those woods.

We saw fancy footbridges,

...big, tall trees...

...and big, wide trees you could crawl inside.

Big Weekend

Well after a fairly uneventful week, Rowan went full-speed through the weekend. Friday she had her first sleepover at Jimbo and Grandy's in Kerrville where she met her Aunt Paige and Cousin Phoebe for the first time. She took her first Jeep ride with Great Uncle Allen and Great Aunt Shari (as well as her first four dogs) Saturday before darting off to her first grown-up party, but she wasn't done yet. By Sunday morning, the whole crew was too tired to take pictures of Rowan's first concert - gospel brunch at Stubb's. You could tell she was really getting into it during those first four minutes before she fell asleep though. It was the startled, "Dear Lord what is that racket," face that gave it away. Expect a hearty delay here as the whole family hits road (or air, as it were) for San Francisco next week. Many pretty pictures to follow.

Well, that's almost a smile

Tale of the tape

Rowan went in for her 2 month checkup yesterday and weighed in at 13lbs. 5oz. Not only does that put her in the 98th percentile (A+!!!) for weight, but it also means that her prescient mama predicted her weight exactly. I'm tell ya, I'm just surrounded by genii in my house. Rowan is 23+ inches now as well, and she's moving into her 3-6 mo. clothes a bit ahead of schedule. The doctor also said she's cuter than 99 percent of the world's babies too (a score of 1248.3 on the cutometer), which is cool.

Umm...yeah...so it's not Monday,

and frankly we don't feel all that bad about it. Let's see you get anything productive done when she's looking at you with thos big ol' eyes, hotshot. It's no mean feat, man. Anyway, we'll promise you one update a week on a day to be determined by us on the spur of the moment. Well, maybe promise is a strong word there. Let's qualify that verb shall we? Under the currant presidentiary most any innovatious word usation is fare game, so we're goin' with "might could promise" - a sound qualifier in these days of loose verbiage. We might could promise you an update a week. That'll do for now. Happy Tuesday, and we'll be seeing ya - sometime.
