Not much to report

Well, this week Rowan watched her National League Division Champion Houston Astros play the first World Series game ever in Texas (though she didn't stay up for the whole thing), celebrated her first Halloween, learned to talk on the telephone, got her fourth and fifth teeth, said her first word ("up"), and took her first step.

Other than that, not much to report.

Homecoming

Babies, Babies Everywhere! Chris' 10 year college reunion at Southwestern. We had a great time showing off Rowan and gushing about the beauty and brillance of our friend's kids. Stacey's gracious cousins Karen and Bill (with their cuties David and Laura) hosted us for the weekend. Thanks for the banana pancakes!

That kinda stings...

...but nothing picks you up after an gut-crunching Astros loss like a bevy of baby pictures, right?

We keep trying to get her to eat what's in the bowl, but who can really compete with the taste of clean plastic?

Do I have something under my chin?

Really!? I do? Oh now that's embarassing.

Fuzzy but fabulous

Coming to eat the camera

Tickle toes

I told her she can get a haircut as soon as she can pay for it herself

Peekaboo!

Go 'Stros

Yesterday's historic Astros' game is really all Rowan has on her mind today. She hasn't said "dada" yet, but I thought I heard her say "Go 'Stros" this morning. Could be wishful thinking.

Hitting the beach

Not the first trip to the beach, but the first trip in which she could enjoy the sand without eating it. Riley, Jon, and Elly joined us, and Elly showed Rowan the ropes. Here are a few of a girl in the sun.
